I guess to the artist, a "fazer" was as good as a phaser, and who cares? :) Probably thought they were the same.Frederickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11868719487717506764noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7549866670428042217.post-85598917126829888242013-06-02T10:53:39.190-07:002013-06-02T10:53:39.190-07:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Star trek into darkness Complete Movie HDhttp://freedownloadfullversionpc.blogspot.com/2013/05/star-trek-into-darkness-download-full.htmlnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7549866670428042217.post-76134641912737623102013-05-30T08:44:31.526-07:002013-05-30T08:44:31.526-07:00What I find hilarious is that the artists often to...What I find hilarious is that the artists often took toy guns and used those as reference for "real" guns in their artwork. In this case, the artist took the Kusan "Sonic Fazer", a somewhat popular 1980 electronic toy that had nothing to do with ST, and put it in Kirk's hand. It's the instant you realize that Kirk is holding a child's toy from 1980 that totally destroys the artwork ... and makes it so great at the same time.Christopher T. But they were playing to the non-Trekker audience, and most of them would have been "Who's Joachim?"

But in my mind, it WAS him, not Khan. It just makes more sense that way, and they even resemble each other.Frederickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11868719487717506764noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7549866670428042217.post-33910547721514253082013-05-23T15:05:18.650-07:002013-05-23T15:05:18.650-07:00STID SPOILERS!!

Lots of good things in it, and I would rather see these actors recreating the TOS roles than them trying to do something else. Enterprise into near-space via weather balloon. The payload reached a height of 95,568’ and hit a top speed of 63 knots or 117 km/hr.

The model was launched from Stayner, Ontario (90 minutes North of Toronto) and was recovered from a remote island in Georgian Bay. It was supposed to travel South towards Toronto - but I miscalculated and it went due North. I should have paid more attention in Math Class.

Video Link: http://youtu.be/ovJcIjOMGIU

Best regards,
SteveSteve Schnierhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01766696319640794064noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7549866670428042217.post-56091687384821930292013-05-07T17:39:10.441-07:002013-05-07T17:39:10.441-07:00Actually, I think my favorite part of that book co...Actually, I think my favorite part of that book cover is the old school price label! I agree with you; back when these books were originally released, it annoyed me that the artists couldn't get the details right, but now I look back on them with nostalgia.David Landonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12909440700102911571noreply@blogger.com
